The countdown is over my friends. Tomorrow is the day I finally leave to start my Kiwi Adventure! My blog post is coming in a little earlier this week mainly because come tomorrow I'm going to be off the grid for a bit. I fly out of Washington early Tuesday morning and will land in California. I'll be in CA for a few hours before we take off for New Zealand. Then we'll be going to orientation in Auckland for the next few days, and here I'm not going to have any way of communicating. While I'm super excited! I love being unplugged from technology and I'm going to be ready to let New Zealand welcome me in. I promise to fill you all in when I make my way over to Wellington the next week.
This last weekend at home has been perfect. I think one of my favorite moments might have been playing Spoons with my family, and if you haven't played Spoons before I highly suggest it. Basically what you do is you need a deck of cards and spoons to correspond with the number of people playing -1 spoon. So you deal out 4 cards to every player and the object is to get four of a kind and when you get four of a kind you grab a spoon and its a mad dash to see who doesn't get a spoon. I'm not sure how other families play but mine gets pretty intense.
In preparation to to start this adventure I choose to watch UP with my parents, not sure if anyone has seen UP but it got me so excited because "Adventure is out there." I'm ready and the adventures are just ahead. I've got my passport and my luggage packed and I'm ready to go. Well that's all for now, I'll check back in with you guys when I'm in New Zealand!!
